Our pediatric dentists, orthodontists, and friendly team members are all looking forward to meeting your special child and treating them to an enjoyable and comfortable dental care experience that leaves them smiling. Before your family makes it to our Harker Heights location, though, there is some important information that parents need to know. Your First Visit
Your son or daughter’s first visit at our practice will go something like this:
- First, we’ll need to get them checked in with one of our excellent receptionists. They will get your (the parent’s) contact information and inform the other team members that you’ve arrived.
- We will ask you to complete all the necessary paperwork before getting started. This step can actually be done before you arrive at the office with the help of our convenient online forms, which are found below!
- If we’re completing a pediatric exam, parents can expect the visit to last around half an hour. We will clean your child’s teeth, examine the mouth for any signs of dental problems, and teach them how to brush and floss. If our dentists determine that any treatment us necessary, we will inform you afterward.
- If we’re completing an orthodontic consultation, the visit should last anywhere from 60 minutes to an hour and a half. We will capture detailed X-rays of your child’s smile and then plan out the ideal straightening process.
