Our team is proud to assist the pediatric dentists and orthodontists here at Killeen Children’s Dental & Orthodontics, working hard to keep the office running smoothly and helping all of our patients feel at ease. Tracy, Office Manager

Tracy has been working in dentistry for an impressive 25 years now, and she spent the last seven of them as a member of our staff. She is a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and also has certifications in coronal polishing and pit and fissure. She greatly enjoys being able to interact with children and change their smiles for the better!

Originally from Copperas Cove, Tracy now lives in Harker Heights. She has been married to her high school sweetheart (they started dating at 15 years old) for 29 years now, and they have four dogs. In her free time, she enjoys dog racing (Dachshunds) and spending time with her 14 nieces and nephews.

Alissa, Patient Coordinator

Alissa ensures that our patients of all ages have a pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. Alissa’s completion of her Certified Management Accountant and CPR credentials make her a valued team member to both our practice and our patients. Alissa is from Temple and attended Everest Institute for Medical Assisting in Belton. Although Alissa did not intend on pursuing a career in the dental industry, she says, “Being able to interact with all the kids in the practice and watching them grow is my favorite part of my job! No matter what kind of day I’m having, they always bring a SMILE to my face.” When Alissa is not busy interacting with our little patients, she enjoys making memories with her family or knocking out some gym time.

Cassie, Patient Coordinator

Cassie is usually the last face you see at checkout, and she strives to ensure an “aahhmazing” experience throughout your entire appointment. She was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina and found her way to Texas as a Pediatric Dental Assistant after serving in the U.S. Army as a Medical Specialist.

Cassie thinks working with kids in dentistry is an awesome experience and loves helping them build healthy oral care habits that benefit them throughout their lifetime. Outside our practice, Cassie is also a Certified Personal Trainer and loves spending time with her husband and two boys, shopping, moviegoing, and doing anything that keeps her active.

Barclay, Insurance Coordinator

Barclay has been working in dentistry for nine years so far, first joining our practice a little over a year ago. She attended Central Texas College and has undergone additional training in HIPAA. She enjoys helping patients through her work and also spending time alongside her excellent coworkers.

Originally from Greenville, SC, Barclay is proud to come from a loving and funny family. In her free time, she goes to church, reads, spends time with his loved ones, and shops. She is crazy, funny, and a hard worker.

Carrie, Lead Dental Assistant

Carrie’s roles are diverse as Lead Dental Assistant, and she can be found assisting with both pediatric and orthodontic patients, supporting the lab, and helping direct her fellow team members and providers. Carrie was born in Temple and raised at a young age in Holland, Texas. Her family finally settled in Belton when she was in 5th grade. She loves working with kids and does her best to make them feel comfortable, especially when they show high anxiety and fear of the dentist. In her spare time, Carrie can be found at the soccer field with her children and husband, spending time outdoors, and playing volleyball with her family and friends.

Christi, Dental Assistant

Christi has been a member of our team for less than a year so far, but her overall experience in the dental world spans over 15 years! She is certified in coronal polishing and dental sealants. She loves that her job gives her the ability to work with kiddos and help them feel comfortable at the dentist’s office.

Christi is from Harker Heights, TX and she is married with two children. Her hobbies include playing family games, having family movie nights, playing bingo, and making candles. She is truly one of a kind!

Megan, Dental Assistant

Megan was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up in Georgia. She has always had a passion for dentistry and plans on applying for dental school in the near future. Megan enjoys working with our team and loves meeting all the children. She says, “It is incredibly rewarding to see them happy!” When she is not helping with our little patients’ smiles, Megan loves staying home with her husband and their dogs.

Shawna, Registered Dental Assistant

Shawna studied at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She is also certified in nitrous oxide. Today, she has been working in dentistry for almost two years now. She loves helping kids take care of their teeth!

Originally from Decatur, AL, Shawna is married with three children. When she isn’t busy at the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, and crafting. She is proud to be a cancer survivor.

Keri, Registered Dental Assistant

Keri is a CPR certified Registered Dental Assistant who, as a teenager, was sure she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry after wearing braces twice and knowing what it felt like not wanting to smile. It is Keri’s mission to help our patients regain their confidence through their healthy smiles.

Originally from Hamilton, Ohio, Keri moved to Texas at the age of 3 only to return to Ohio for her schooling at The Institute of Medical and Dental Technology in Springdale, Ohio. Keri says, “The most rewarding part of my work day is when I can tell a patient had a wonderful experience.” When she is not assisting in treatment, training interns, and taking orthophotos, Keri spends time with her husband and son claiming they are her whole world.

Jessica, Dental Hygienist/Clinical Supervisor

Jessica has a decade of dental experience and has worked hard progressing professionally as a Registered Pediatric Dental Assistant and our Clinical Supervisor. Her daily patient interactions include completing routine cleanings, improving patients’ home care by helping them build healthy habits, and striving to treat every patient like her own child. Jessica also demonstrates her office agilities by scheduling patient appointments, managing office inventory, and supervising our clinical team.

Jessica was born in Clifton but grew up in Moody where her family owned the local Dairy Queen. She loves that her work at Killeen Dental Orthodontics keeps her on her toes, and it warms her heart to witness the progress made on our little patients over the years. Jessica says, “Seeing them leave with shiny smiles on their faces confirms I did my part in helping with their oral health.” In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her two boys and claims keeping up with both them and sleep leaves little time for much else in her world.

Felicia, Orthodontist Assistant

Felicia is a Registered Dental Assistant, and her mission is to give the ultimate experience for our patients while working alongside our orthodontists. She loves building relationships with both the children and their parents of our practice while striving to make a positive impact on their day. Felicia was born and raised here in Texas.

Outside our practice, she stays busy as a full-time student and mother to her toddler son. When Felicia is not chasing her little man or hitting the books, she enjoys reading, crocheting, photography, cooking, cycling, and watching movies.

Kassidy, Registered Dental Assistant

Kassidy was raised in St. Louis, Missouri until the age of 10 when her father joined the military and moved the family to Georgia. She quickly fell in love with orthodontics during her first experience working at an orthodontic office in Georgia. Kassidy’s husband is also in the military leading to their move to Texas for his work. This is where she eventually earned her Registered Dental Assistant credentials.

Kassidy says the best part about her job is playing an important role in helping our nervous and shy patients transform by the end of their treatment. The boost in her patients’ self-esteem is the main reason Kassidy fell in love with orthodontics! When Kassidy is not helping patient’s transform their smiles, she enjoys the company of her children and reading.
