What You Should Know About Pulling Your Kid’s Teeth

March 20, 2017

You probably know that your child will lose their baby teeth eventually. You may also know that your child’s teeth will probably fall out on its own. Still, do you ever wonder if you should let a tooth fall out or if you should try to pull your little one’s tooth on your own?

As you may already know, letting your kid’s teeth fall out on their own is best. Generally, your child should lose their first tooth when they’re around six. Your child should wiggle their tooth to help if fall out naturally. Please teach them to wiggle their tooth with their tongue or their finger.

Still, please be aware that timing is vital. If you try to pull your kid’s pearly white too early, it may be very painful. In general, you should probably wait until your child’s tooth is extremely loose. If their loose tooth is dangling in their gums, or if you’re worried that it will fall out when they’re asleep, you should consider pulling their tooth.

Finally, if you help your child pull their tooth, please use a twisting motion. Also, you should try to avoid grabbing your little one’s tooth with just your finger. Instead, please use a piece of gauze or a clean cloth.
